Hireyn Shield — Personal Information Protection
Hireyn Shield is our automated protection layer that detects and blocks the sharing of personal or off-platform contact information across the platform — in profiles, bios, job posts, proposals, portfolio descriptions, and chat messages.
Sharing contact details in any form is prohibited. This includes email addresses, phone numbers, and social, messaging, or scheduling links — including disguised or obfuscated forms (for example "name at gmail dot com", spaced-out or spelled-out numbers, or app handles). Hireyn Shield runs server-side and cannot be bypassed by the client.
Why it exists: keeping every conversation and payment on Hireyn protects both clients and freelancers. It preserves escrow protection, gives you a record if a dispute arises, and lets reputation (the Hireyn Score) be earned from verifiable work. Moving a deal off-platform removes all of these safeguards.
Enforcement: a blocked message is never delivered. Each violation records a warning; after three warnings the account is suspended and active sessions are revoked. We strongly recommend communicating only through Hireyn — if you believe a block was a mistake, contact Support.
Privacy Policy
We collect only the information needed to run the marketplace — your account details, profile, projects, contracts, and payment records. We never sell your personal data.
Contact details (email, phone, social links) are kept private and are not displayed on public profiles. All communication is designed to stay on-platform — and is actively protected by Hireyn Shield — to safeguard both clients and freelancers.
You can request a copy of your data or deletion of your account at any time from the Support page.
Terms of Service
By using Hireyn you agree to engage honestly, keep all work, communication, and payments on-platform, and not share or solicit off-platform contact details in any form. This policy is enforced by Hireyn Shield; repeated violations lead to account suspension.
Funds are held in escrow and released when milestones are approved. Hireyn applies a small platform service fee on contracts, with each side's first four projects fee-free; the exact amount is always shown before you confirm.
Reputation (the Hireyn Score) is a cumulative points total earned only from verified, escrow-paid work — it grows with completed contracts, on-time milestones, repeat clients, and a complete, verified profile, and is reduced by cancelled or disputed projects. It cannot be bought or transferred.
Project Timelines, Disputes & Refunds
A project's timeline begins the moment the order is placed (the contract start). Any agreed deadline is measured from that point, so clear, on-platform communication about scope and timing is essential — it's the key to a smooth project for both sides.
If a project goes past its deadline or otherwise breaks down, it is the client's decision whether to open a dispute. Opening a dispute cancels the project and refunds the funds still held in escrow (work already delivered and approved remains paid).
When a project is cancelled this way, the freelancer's Hireyn Score takes a penalty, and the escrowed amount is returned to the client. Because reputation and refunds are at stake, we strongly encourage both parties to communicate early and resolve issues before a deadline passes.
